You are responsible for managing the ongoing configuration and administrative functions to support production, development, and staging systems including patching, updates, log monitoring, and memory usage monitoring. You have extensive experience managing both Linux and Windows Server operating systems, and you know a little bit about the Oracle RDBMS.
You don’t mind fielding and troubleshooting level 2 support calls from other technical people. You can quickly handle change requests and password/account creation requests. You’re willing to learn new applications and can work independently with the proper training. You might know what an ISSO is, and you embrace government IT security policies and do your best to make sure your systems and users comply with them.
You are a team player that has a minimum of 3 years customer-facing experience in systems administration, you are a self-starter, detail-oriented, and you have excellent verbal and written communications skills. You might have worked on Federal goverment systems administration projects in the past, and you might know a thing or two about enterprise telecommunications.
YOU MUST BE A US CITIZEN. You will be subject to a US government background investigation, and must be eligible to hold a clearance at the Top Secret (TS) level. You do not necessarily have to hold a clearance to be considered for this position.
Your primary duty location is Winchester, VA. You don’t mind occasional travel within a 60 mile radius.
